Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable

This is a rescue that needed to happen. An friend, who is an antique dealer, found seven chairs in barn (yes, a barn!) She rescued the chairs but discarded the needlepoint seats. I found the needlepoints in her dust bin, and I rescued them. I washed them, dry cleaned them, and then (because I dislike the dry-cleaning fluid smell,) I washed them again.
They still have stains from the time they were loving used and not so lovingly stored. The background has become a heathery mix of discolored ivory wool. They wear their patina well.

These needlepoints graced the 1940s chairs. They are well loved and well used. Each shows that wear proudly.  Each has spots that did not come out in the wash, but that does not detract from the beauty, in fact, it becomes part of the story. Wouldn't you agree?

Faded Victorian

There are five of these lovelies. Once they graced the chairs of a formal Victorian dining room. Now they have been given a new life for your casual seating area.
You may find them ~here~
